Hello. This Saturday I'm leading a short bike/scoot tour to look at some unique dioramas that exist in the downtown Saint Paul vicinity. In each case, you will witness models that depict lost landscapes of the Saint Paul, the parts of the city that were erased by progress.
Downtown Saint Paul looks a lot different today than it did in 1905 (when the drawing above was created), and luckily for us, there are a few monuments and remembrances of some of these lost landscapes.
We'll be looking at three (3) of those and comparing them to the landscapes that replaced them.. It's a short bike ride, just five (5) miles. Hope to see you there!
