If cars and guns are similarly deadly, it doesn't make much sense to say that "Open Streets is about the diverse kinds of life that are possible when we remove the automobile from the center of our lives....We're much better off in a world where even people that disagree with each other can co-exist in our public spaces". Why can we coexist with one type of danger (people carrying guns), but not with the other (people driving cars)?Alexishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15019989788721036349noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17629790.post-91329989096263111372013-06-20T01:21:00.063-06:002013-06-20T01:21:00.063-06:00It's astounding that you didn't make a &qu...It's astounding that you didn't make a "pedestrian" pun.Carlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02998793914690685677noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17629790.post-31372580517708431452013-06-19T13:39:46.526-06:002013-06-19T13:39:46.526-06:00Sad but true, Bill, sad but true. Certainly you can have transformative experiences on foot as well.Alexhttp://gettingaroundmpls.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.com
